Real Time Music | Professional Training
Real Time Music was founded in October 2015 by a collective of musicians involved in jazz, improvised music, and all forms of music education.
The association’s mission is to offer high-quality, advanced musical training to professional and pre-professional musicians of all ages, supporting the many artists who wish to pursue lifelong learning.
Real Time Music sees itself as a forum where all musicians eager to continue their musical education and deepen their understanding can come together and exchange ideas, fostering the development of their art and that of their entire community, in a spirit of curiosity, openness, and high standards.
This initiative arose as a necessity given the near impossibility in France of pursuing artistic training outside of institutional frameworks, even though artistic research and development are lifelong pursuits.
Since its inception, we have organized around ten masterclasses and workshops, led by nationally and internationally renowned musicians and creators: Tony Malaby, Dominique Pifarély, Myra Melford, Stéphane Payen, Brice Wassy, Olivier Py, and others. These workshops have benefited approximately one hundred musicians.
In February 2025, Real Time Music obtained Qualiopi certification, guaranteeing high-quality training programs that meet the most stringent requirements.
